By accessing or using SpeakLucid ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SpeakLucid ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
SpeakLucid provides AI-powered text-to-speech services. The Service includes:
- Text-to-speech generation with multiple AI voices
- Voice cloning from audio samples
- Speech-to-text transcription
- Audio/video translation and dubbing
- API access for developers
- Community voice library
3. Free Tier and Credits
3.1 Free Credits
All new accounts receive:

4.1 Refund Policy
- Cancel within 14 days of first payment: Full refund
- Annual plans: Prorated refund within 30 days
- Monthly plans: No refunds after 14-day window
- Credits already used: Non-refundable
5. Voice Recordings and Content License
5.1 Private Voice (Default)
- Voice is for your use only
- Not shared with other users
- Not used for training
- Deleted upon account termination
5.2 Community Voice (Opt-In)
⚠️ IMPORTANT
By selecting "Share to Community," you grant SpeakLucid and its users a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use your voice for text-to-speech generation, create derivative works, and use for AI training.
5.3 Voice Consent Requirements
By uploading a voice, you confirm:
- This is your own voice, OR you have written consent from the voice owner
- The voice is not of a minor (under 18)
- The voice is not of a public figure without consent
- You understand and accept the license terms
6. Acceptable Use Policy
6.1 Permitted Uses
- Personal projects and creative work
- Commercial content (podcasts, videos, apps)
- Educational materials
- Accessibility tools
- Entertainment and gaming
- Customer service automation
6.2 Prohibited Uses
You may NOT use SpeakLucid to:
- ❌ Create deepfakes intended to deceive
- ❌ Impersonate real people without consent
- ❌ Generate fake news or misinformation
- ❌ Conduct phishing or social engineering
- ❌ Create harassment, threats, or hate speech
- ❌ Produce child exploitation material
- ❌ Infringe copyrights or trademarks
- ❌ Reverse engineer the Service
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Your IP
You retain ownership of:
- Text you input for synthesis
- Original voice recordings
- Content you create using the Service
7.2 Generated Content
- Using AI voices: Licensed for commercial use
- Generated audio: You own the output fully
8. Disclaimers and Limitations
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPEAKLUCID SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
- AI-generated content may contain errors
- Voice clones are approximations, not perfect replicas
- We do not guarantee specific output quality
- Results may vary based on input quality
9. Termination
9.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
9.2 By Us
We may terminate or suspend your account for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Non-payment (paid plans)
- Extended inactivity (2+ years)
